Here's the thing: yesterday, at the end of Sunday School, someone made a comment that just set me off, and I kind of laid into them. Okay, I didn't kind of lay into them, I really let them have it. I turned red, got mad, and just lamblasted them.
Want to know why? Because I'm an angry person. It's really that simple. . . and terrifying.

big sinner.
You know it!
wow, i haven't seen the angry side yet. if you could provide a list of topics that tend to set you off, I'll make sure to avoid them.
oh Julie, don't be passive, you need to help Jason to move into the emotion and let the anger come out, ya know. Nah, really J - what's up man? I don't have any idea what you're talking about, or what happened, but, well, I'll just leave it at that. - JJ
I shot someone the bird yesterday for almost wrecking us both.(the serious bird..when you roll down the window and honk your horn at the same time)(a.k.a. the reason i dont have a Jesus fish on my car) Point: I hate anger, but we must face it and destroy it before it destroys us. How: i wish I knew..I will pray for us all!! :)
It's funny to me what strikes a chord with folks, and apparently this blog did. Julie, all you really need to do is drive down 280 with me, and you'll see the full brunt of my anger fully displayed. If you do want to take Jason J's advice and "provoke" me to it, unfortunately it's not as hard to do as you might think!
Kevin, I agree. It's a much worse witness for me to have Christian symbols associated with something I'm driving than not. Of course, if I could just learn to love people as much as I love me and my rights, I wouldn't need the fish and all the symbols. . . folks would just know!
Jason J., do you have a blog? I followed your profile but couldn't tell if you had one or not.
I like to thing of myself as a peaceful person...that is until someone gets in my way! By the way...there's a link the jjohnson's blog on my blog.
I completely identify with that Whitney! That's because I spend so much energy and time working to make things right for "Jason," that how dare somebody mess that up!
i've been thinking some about yesterday. what was my intention (with the gesture)? it was to shame the guy by getting revenge. who loses in the end? ME because i'm the one obsessing about it still in someone else's blog...he doesn't remember or care. .."leave room for God's wrath.." it makes more sense when you realize you cant shame a pagan...shame is their daily coat...
Kevin, I've spent the past hour being blown away by the statement, "shame is their coat." My God, what a thought! I'm serious. Do y'all realize the implications of that if we were to really believe and understand the position of those apart from Christ, and contrast that with those of us who are supposed to be "clothed with Christ"! Wow.
