Q & A
I've never asked for feedback on anything I've ever posted on this blog, but I've got a question, and I need your help. So, here's the thing: give me a brief answer to the following two questions:
What is the Church? And why does the Church matter?
Complicated, yet maybe simple.
Complicated because most would look at these questions, thinking if answered, that one may end up thought less of or maybe criticized.
Simple, because often we read so much more into questions like these. So, what is the Church? Why does the Church matter?
The body of Christ; the loving, gracious, and supportive source of people who's life you share because of similar or at least what is thought to be similar belief and love for Christ.
The body is a blessing given by intended by Christ to portray the image of Christ by way of service, support, humility, love, discipline, accountability, unity, honesty, and grace.
I am a part of the body of Christ, many people I know are also are a part of the body of Christ, also known as the Church.
Unfortunately with this comes sin as well, wich is sometimes where pride, arrogance, selfishness, and personal agenda come in the way of allowing the Church to operate as Christ intended.
I think I'm going to leave it at that for now. Not saying that I am wrong or right, it's just what I believe. Great question though!
